Nouveau Riche Music and Trap City take over Bitterzoet at ADE

Nouveau Riche Music x Trap City

On Thursday October 16, the Nouveau Riche Music X Trap City Label night will take place at Bitterzoet, during the Amsterdam Dance Event. Label owner Boaz van de Beatz and online platform Trap City put together an impressive lineup featuring deejays, producers and live acts. Aside from Boaz himself, The Partysquad, Apex Rise, NoizBoiz and Mr. Polska will take the stage.

As producer, Boaz van de Beatz singlehandedly makes his mark on the sound of today’s pop and EDM music. His trademark; combining eclectic genres, merciless drops and a contemporary electronic style. From Bubbling and Dancehall to Hard Style, Trap and Hip Hop. This year, Boaz released singles on Mad Decent, worked with artists such as Major Lazer, Sean Paul, Pharrell and RiFF RAFF, ánd runs his own record label Nouveau Riche Music. Here, he releases music by Mr. Polska, Jebroer and Skinto amongst others, which is mostly produced by himself as well. At the label night, Boaz and his musical colleagues will show just how versatile the musical range of Nouveau Riche is. Together with online platform Trap City (almost 1 million followers) he programmed a night that is guaranteed to make fireworks go off.

The group NoizBoiz from Rotterdam will release their new album ‘Oase’ on Nouveau Riche Music this November. The trio proved itself by pioneering in the UK-bass genre within the Dutch borders. From Grime to 2-step, from Dubstep to Jungle… Mucky, XL and Don de Baron do it all. Last year, they released several singles, clips and mix tapes. At ADE, they will present a dj set containing a lot of new work.

That The Partysquad and Boaz van de Beatz blend well together, was proven by their single ‘Oh My’ that has over 5,5 million plays on the Trap City channel. Ever since 2009 the group is responsible for releases on lables such as Spinnin, Mad Decent and Dim Mak. In the meantime, the duo also scores in the Dutch Top40 and joined M.I.A. on tour. This formation doesn’t really need an introduction, they always bring incredible energy and blow the roof off the place.

Producer Apex Rise rose to the top of the Trap scene in no time. He created remixes for Hip Hoppers like A$AP Ferg, Drake and Waka Flocka Flame and his Trap City year mix reached over 5 million plays. His own track ‘Drip’ was a club hit.

Dancehall is a source of inspiration for Nouveau Riche. DJ Jah is one of the leading DJs in the genre. As soon as Jah gets behind the turntable, he takes guests along to a Jamaican block party. His own single ‘Flames and Fire’ can’t be missed.

Every now and then, someone introduces a distinctive, fresh style of producing. Chris Val is one of these people. His roots lie in Raggae and Dancehall and he produced for the greats in the genre. He developed a unique, electronic sound in which genres as Trap, Twerk and EDM collide.

In addition to these DJs, artists like Kalibwoy and Mr. Polska storm the stage with a showcase. Together with Boaz van de Beatz, they created tracks that are released on Mad Decent and Nouveau Riche Music. The singles ‘Warrior’ and ‘No Way Home’ are featured the sets of Diplo, DJ Snake and Skrillex amongst others. At the label night they will reveal a glimpse of the musical storm that is on its way. Aside from Kalibwoy and Mr. Polska, several of Boaz’ musical friends will make a special guest appearance in his set.
